Kawachi-Class Battleships (河内型戦艦) were built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during the years of 1909 to 1912. These were Japan's first dreadnoughts, and 2 were built.

Kawachi-Class Battleships Kawachi & Settsu's only action during World War I was when they bombarded German fortifications in October–November 1914 during the final stage of the Battle of Tsingtao. In 1918 Kawachi was sunk in an accidental magazine explosion. Settsu was disarmed in 1922 under the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty.
