Ise 1944

Ise-Class Battleships (伊勢型戦艦) were built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during the years of 1915 to 1918, And in 1943 were converted2 hybrid Battleship/Carriers. There were 2 Battleships in this class.

Ise-Class Battleships served between the years of 1917 to 1945.

Ise-Class Battleships Ise & Hyūga were considered obsolete by the eve of the Pacific War, despite the expensive reconstructions, and neither saw significant action in the early years of the war. Following the loss of most of the IJN's large aircraft carriers during the Battle of Midway in mid-1942, they were rebuilt with a flight deck replacing the rear pair of gun turrets to give them the ability to operate an air group of floatplanes.
