HMS Frobisher, a Hawkins Class Heavy Cruiser was built for the Royal Navy during the years of 1916 to 1920.  Hawkins class were the first heavy cruisers built for the Royal Navy, designed to counter reported large German cruisers armed with guns. She was designed for trade protection on distant waters, for which a heavy armament, long range and high speed was required. 5 were planned, 5 were built, though one was completed as an Aircraft Carrier. 

HMS Frobisher  served between the years of 1924 to 1949.

HMS Frobisherś design was basically a light cruiser enlarged sufficiently to increase her range and armament as required. This HMS Frobisher is before the 1927 & 1929 refits that improved her speed and firepower and added the catapult.
