Revenge

Revenge-Class Battleships were built for the Royal Navy during the years of 1913 to 1916. They were designed to be more economical, while retaining the essential of the previous dreadnoughts. There were 5 of this class built.

Revenge-Class Battleships served between the years of 1916 to 1949.

Preceded by: Queen Elizabeth class

Succeeded by: Nelson class

Revenge-Class Battleships were HMS Revenge, Ramillies, Resolution, Royal Oak, and Royal Sovereign. Only two ships of the class, Revenge & Royal Oak, were ready in time for the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916. During the engagement neither ship suffered damage or casualties.
