The Type VIIC/41 submarine is a Time-Limited ship in our game, and was built for the Kraigsmarine between the years of 1941 and 1945. A modified version of the Type VIIC, the VIIC/41 could dive deeper to evade depth charge attacks by having a thicker hull, but also had lighter machinery to compensate for the hull making her actually lighter than her predecessor. There were 91 of this class built.

Type VIIC/41 submarines were modified versions of the VIIC U-Boat, with several modifications to make them more effective. Their hulls were thickened to increase their dive depth, their machinery modified to be lighter to compensate for the increased weight for the hull, and their ability to lay mine fields removed to save weight.

There is only one Type VII U-Boat that remains to this day, and it is a Type VIIC/41, which is at the Laboe Naval Memorial, Germany.
