1936A

Type 1936A Destroyers were built for  Germany's Kriegsmarine during the years of 1938 to 1943. In terms of armament, they were closer to light cruisers than the typical destroyer. There were 15 of this class of Destroyer built.

Type 1936A Destroyers served between the years of 1940 to 1958.

Type 1936A Destroyers Z26 was lost 29/3/1942 in battle against British cruiser Trinidad and destroyer Eclipse in Barents sea. Z27 was lost 28/12/1943 in battle against British light cruisers Glasgow and Enterprise in Bay of Biscay. Z23 was damaged 12/8/1944 by British aircraft at Western coast of France, stricken 20/8/1944 . Z24 was sunk 24/8/1944 by British aircraft in a mouth of Gironde. Z28 was sunk 6/3/1945 by British aircraft at Sassnitz. Z30 was damaged 20/10/1944 on a mine in Oslo-fjord. Z25 in 1946 was transferred to France as Ноchе.
