Kaiser-Class Battleships were built for the Imperial German Navy during the years of 1909 to 1913. They were the first German dreadnoughts to feature turbine engines, and superfiring turrets. There were 5 of this class built.

Kaiser-Class Battleships SMS Kaiser, Fredrich der Grosse, Kaiserin, König Albert & Prinzregent Luitpold all saw action in World War I. All but SMS König Albert were at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. 05 took part in the October 1917 Operations at the Baltic Islands in the Gulf of Riga. SMS Kaiser & Kaiserin engaged with British cruisers in second Battle of Heligoland Bight on 17 November 1917 .
All five ships were interned and Scuttled at Scapa Flow at the end of World War I.
