Everyone needs to sign up for a MyST account: https://proper.stsci.edu/proper/authentication/auth

Windows

Please download the Astronomer's Proposal Tool (APT) by following the instructions at the following link: http://stsci.edu/scientific-community/software/astronomers-proposal-tool-apt/windows

Mac/Linux

Step 0) Install Python 3.7 or newer

Step 1) Install Conda/AstroConda

Step 2) Install Background Tools

Step 3) Install Target Visibility Tools

• This should come with the AstroConda package.

Step 4) Install the latest version of the APT for Mac or Linux

• For those of you who have previously used the APT, please check that you have the newest version.
