About

Northern Arizona University sits at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, on homelands sacred to Native Americans throughout the region. We honor their past, present, and future generations, who have lived here for millennia and will forever call this place home.

About NAU BS - Public Health:

The mission of the Bachelor of Science - Public Health Program is to prepare students to promote and protect the health of the public using appropriate processes, concepts, and principles. In this capstone class, as a part of this preparation, students work with local and national organizations to design, implement, and evaluate a 3-week long health intervention. They gain skills in conducting needs assessments, developing evidence- and theory-based strategic plans, writing grant proposals, developing health promotion materials, designing surveys and collecting data, writing evaluation reports, and disseminating their project findings to a professional audience.
