I traversed the moon

The light of day exposed the barren yet color filled expanse of

seemingly endless peaks and valleys that is Haleakala crater.

The dark of night transported me to a lunar surface,

breathing rarefied air, touching the stars.

a patch of bluebells



A patch of bluebells greeted my eyes,

as I lazily walked neath mid-summer skies.

A calm befell me. I could not help but smile.
