About Us

The Foundation of the State Arboretum of Virginia (FOSA), a University of Virginia-related foundation, is the official fund-raising, membership, and gift-receiving organization for the State Arboretum of Virginia and Blandy Experimental Farm. FOSA works as a partner to help support Blandy and the State Arboretum through fund-raising, events, and volunteer management.

Giving to FOSA, the State Arboretum and Blandy: Please send donations (made out to FOSA) by mail to FOSA, 400 Blandy Farm Lane, Boyce, VA 22620. For your convenience, you may also donate online or by stopping by to visit us in the main office at Blandy. FOSA is a 501(c)(3) and the Federal Tax ID No. 54-1268275. VISION: Blandy will be a center for outstanding environmental research and education, set within the natural beauty and remarkable collections of Virginia's State Arboretum.

MISSION: FOSA will support Blandy's research and educational goals, sustain the Arboretum's collections, and enhance Blandy's value as an institution that serves the public.

GOALS: Enhance user experience, build relationships, and balance revenue and expense.
