Eastern Cottontails

This map shows data collected on daily walks around a two mile loop route. An app created by my sister documents the location of the bunny, the size, and the time. 

There are four different sizes based on the size of the body of the bunny. Micro bunnies are tennis ball sized, minis are softball sized, bunnies are the size of a nerf football, and megas are the size of a toy basketball. The mega bunny size is very exclusive and has only been granted to two different bunnies. 

We also mark down other animals that may influence the amount of bunnies in an area. Dogs are documented if they are off leash or on a long leash, and poking around the area bunnies would be. Hawks are documented whenever they are seen. Coyotes are documented as a dog or a hawk or sometimes as both. This project was started in May of 2018 as counting on the bunnies on our fingers without sizing or location being marked.  The app was created in July of that year.
