Thorne Nature Preschool Director

Thorne Nature Experience is seeking a Preschool Director who will help develop and oversee the Thorne Nature Preschool, a partial day, nature-based program launching in the fall of 2019 that aims to both support early childhood development and foster deep nature connection. Our ideal candidate has a genuine love for young children, has a deep personal connection to nature, and has a commitment to high quality care and learning. Thorne is looking for a Director who is visionary, experienced, detail oriented, highly relational, and is someone who would enjoy taking a lead role in building this program from the ground up. They can balance the ability to effectively run the daily operations of the preschool and be a creative and inspirational mentor to children. Thorne Nature Preschool Staff must be willing to spend time outdoors, in all weather, with their students.

Giving Tree School

Giving Tree School, an independent preschool in Gill, MA, is seeking Early Childhood Ed students for the positions of Midday Assistant Teacher and Substitute Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for ECE students to gain experience alongside seasoned lead teachers in a high-quality, nature-based, NAEYC-accredited preschool program, teaching in the HighScope curriculum. Possible opportunity for advancement to regular part/full-time employment exists for well-matched candidates.

The Garland School

The Garland School, an independent nursery and kindergarten program located in Brattleboro, VT, is seeking teachers for their Waldorf and nature based early childhood program to start in January!
We most prefer teachers who have previous training or experience in Waldorf early childhood programs. Preference will be given to those with Bachelors or Masters degrees in education and/or significant training and experience in early childhood education. Familiarity with the work of Emmi Pikler is also beneficial.

Nurture & Nature

Who we are and what we are looking for: Nurture & Nature Children’s Center is a Licensed Plus Facility nestled in the woods of Newfields, New Hampshire. We enroll children ages 5 weeks to 5 years old. We are looking for quality teachers that want to make a difference in the life of a child. Mass Audubon Felix Neck Sanctuary Nature Preschool - Director, Fall 2019

Mass Audubon founded the first nature preschool in Massachusetts, and is a national leader in environmental education. Mass Audubon seeks a MA EEC certified Preschool Director for the opening of its new Nature Preschool at Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in Edgartown. This EEC-licensed Preschool is scheduled to open in September 2019. Felix Neck is looking for a passionate and energetic Director who can balance the responsibilities of management and instruction of a unique preschool learning environment.

The Dewey School

The Dewey School, a bold and dynamic combination of nature, art, and play designed for early learners ages 3-5, will open at the historical Canterbury Shaker Village in the fall of 2019. Carefully woven together with joy, the developmentally appropriate practices of nature-based learning and play inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach will provide children with a strong foundation of authentic learning in a picturesque and historic setting.
We welcome applications for the position of teacher. As a nature-based school, living in and loving the out-of-doors is a must! Each teacher will work with a small learning group of children as well as working collaboratively as part of a larger teaching team as we grow inside...and out. In addition, teachers will collaborate with volunteers, community members, as well as other educational professionals.
