IUCN - Director, Global Ecosystem Management Programme

Radhika Murti, a Fijian national, is passionate about participatory and empowering approaches to conservation and brings over 15 years of experience on environment and development issues As the Director of IUCN's Global Ecosystem Management Programme, Radhika has been leading the development of an IUCN NBS standard. Radhika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Science from The Australian National University and a Master’s degree in Land Management from The University of the South Pacific. She completed her PhD on Nature-Based Solutions approaches to climate change adaptation in Burkina Faso, Chile and Senegal at the University of Bern.

Daisy Hessenberger, a young professional at IUCN, collaborates colleagues, members, partners and external stakeholders on the development of the Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions. With a PhD in plant sciences and a experience in science engagement, her interest and strengths lie in communicating complex systems and facilitating the connections between diverse groups working towards a common goal.

Zoom participants

A diverse group of stakeholders of biodiversity have been invited into the "zoom room" to ask questions, spark discussions and highlight the value of working together on such an intersectional approach as Nature-based Solutions. More info to be announced soon.
