NaturalDraft Privacy Policy

NaturalDraft is a writing-assistance application developed and operated by TechKrunch ("NaturalDraft," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the NaturalDraft Android application.

SUMMARY

NaturalDraft processes ordinary drafts and rewrites locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics. Internet access is used for the one-time writing-model download and for optional output reports that a user chooses to submit.

DRAFTS AND REWRITES

Drafts pasted or typed into NaturalDraft and the resulting rewrites are processed locally on the Android device. Ordinary drafts and rewrites are not uploaded to TechKrunch, a cloud rewriting service, or an advertising or analytics provider. NaturalDraft does not use your writing to train artificial-intelligence models.

Local app content can be removed by clearing NaturalDraft's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

MODEL DOWNLOAD

During first-time setup, NaturalDraft downloads the Qwen2.5 1.5B Instruct GGUF model from Hugging Face over HTTPS. Hugging Face and internet infrastructure providers may receive standard connection information, such as an IP address, request time, requested file, and user-agent string. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. The downloaded model is stored on your device.

OPTIONAL OUTPUT REPORTS

NaturalDraft includes an in-app Report output feature. A report is sent only after the user opens the report form and submits it. A submitted report sends the selected report category, optional notes entered by the user, and the app version to FormSubmit over HTTPS for delivery to TechKrunch at skdowell92@gmail.com. The generated result is included only when the user affirmatively selects the option to attach it. The original draft is not attached.

FormSubmit and network providers may receive standard connection information, such as an IP address and request metadata, while delivering the report. Report information is used for safety review, troubleshooting, support, and product improvement. TechKrunch may retain report information for up to 90 days after resolution unless a longer period is reasonably required for security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

DATA NATURALDRAFT DOES NOT COLLECT DURING ORDINARY USE

NaturalDraft does not require or intentionally collect an account name, password, contact list, precise location, advertising identifier, photos, audio, payment information, or ordinary draft and rewrite content. No advertising or analytics SDK is included.

LOCAL STORAGE

NaturalDraft stores the downloaded model, app settings, and text currently held by the app on the device so the app can function. This local information can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Device operating systems, backup providers, manufacturers, and app marketplaces may process information independently under their own settings and privacy policies.

DATA SHARING AND SALE

TechKrunch does not sell personal information. Optional report information is processed by FormSubmit solely to deliver the report to TechKrunch. Standard connection information associated with model downloads is processed by Hugging Face and relevant internet providers.

SECURITY

Network transfers used for the model download and optional output reports use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users should not include confidential information in optional report notes or attached results.

DELETION REQUESTS

NaturalDraft has no user accounts. To request deletion of a previously submitted report, email skdowell92@gmail.com with enough information to identify the report. Local app data can be deleted through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

NaturalDraft is not directed to children under 13. Users should follow the rules of their school or other institution when editing AI-assisted work. A parent or guardian with a privacy question may contact TechKrunch using the email below.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information held by a business. Contact TechKrunch to ask whether report information relating to you is retained or to request deletion when applicable.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

TechKrunch may update this Privacy Policy when NaturalDraft's features, providers, legal obligations, or privacy practices change. The Last updated date will be revised when a new version is published.
