How to Use
To use the Braun Thermoscan Model Hm3, follow these steps:
Remove the protective cap and insert a new lens filter.
Press the power button to turn on the thermometer.
Gently pull the ear back and insert the probe into the ear canal.
Press and release the start button. A beep will sound when the measurement is complete.
Read the temperature on the display. The display will show the last reading for 5 seconds before showing the current reading.
Press the eject button to remove and discard the used lens filter.
Replace the protective cap and turn off the thermometer.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any problems with the Braun Thermoscan Model Hm3, refer to the following table for possible solutions:

The thermometer does not turn on Check if the battery is inserted correctly or replace it with a new one
The display shows Err Make sure a new lens filter is used for each measurement or contact customer service
The display shows HI or LO The measured temperature is outside the range of 34ÂC to 42.2ÂC (93.2ÂF to 108ÂF). Repeat the measurement or contact your doctor if you are unsure
The display shows ÂC or ÂF You can change the temperature scale by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds while turning on the thermometer
