A big thank you to all of these sponsors for helping us put on a tremendous fall conference!
It's Knot Your Typical Math Talk!
Join us the night before NATM for the Fall Math Teacher Circle Social on November 8 for an evening of mathematics, conversation, and community.
Discover the surprising mathematics behind knots and learn about a recent breakthrough by UNL researchers, who solved a Knot Theory problem that had stumped mathematicians for more than 88 years. With ropes, volunteers, and plenty of audience participation, you'll experience firsthand how mathematicians explore, transform, and "undo" knots.
Location: Cunningham's on the Lake, Kearney, NE
6:30 p.m. – Hors d'oeuvres and socializing
7:00-8:00 p.m. – Presentation: It's Knot Math
Bring your curiosity and connect with fellow math teachers for an evening that's sure to tie together fun and mathematics. Whether you're looking for fresh classroom connections, interesting mathematical ideas, or simply a chance to connect with colleagues, we hope you'll join us!
