My name is Vanessa Valenciano, I am the educator and responding member for Radiating Beauty LLC Coaching.
The idea to be a virtual study resource was developed during the time I was preparing for the exam to obtain my cosmetology license. The rate of a student successfully passing a beauty exam is not very high, the rate is surprisingly high for applicants to NC/ns or fail. In my experience, it can be attributed to a lack of resources, knowledge, awareness, and available support systems; The exams for licensing are very complex. Radiating Beauty LLC has developed this coaching service to address a need in the nation.
I am a Cosmetologist, Massage Therapist, and Natural healer who is putting my focus into helping future professionals reach their goals. With over 20 years of experience in administration, creating templates, and organizing events and groups, I have created resources and programs for individuals who are preparing for their practical State Board Exam in the Beauty Industry. I have been studying beauty and holistic health for over 10 years and incorporate these techniques into the MyStudy program from the perspective of someone who has taken the Colorado Cosmetology State Board Exam and has experience in the health and beauty industry.
I began Cosmetology school in 2010 where I started the road to my dreams; enjoying the art of beauty. During this path, I became pregnant with my 3rd child and later discovered he had severe respiratory issues that lasted until he was 4 years old. I attempted to pass the test while juggling a busy life but failed numerous times.
Despite the failures, several attempts were made and I refused to give up. In 2020 I was diagnosed with a minor learning disability that had impacted her reading since I was a child. This allowed me the opportunity to expand my learning skills and gain the knowledge to pass by finding new ways to study.
In 2021 after passing the first exam and developing the study material used for the practical exam, I registered in the state of Colorado to be the sole owner of Radiating Beauty LLC. After creating the study material used in MyStudy, I successfully passed the second Cosmetology exam. There were a total of 5 practical attempts and 3 written attempts. In 2022 I passed the Written exam and became a licensed Cosmetologist. I have gained experience in several spa/ salon settings and fashion shows.
Understanding the struggles of the exams and living a busy life, I am dedicated to support others who have a similar story or could just use the extra help. Studying is difficult and the practical is very complex. Not to mention the various state laws!
