The seeds are FREE and you don't need to have seeds to receive. Learn how to harvest seeds; it's fun!

Native plant experts will give presentations in the Arboretum's Education Center.

11:00am: Nature at Home – certification program promoting nature friendly gardening • Matt Collogan, Consumer Horticulture Agent, NC Cooperative Extension – New Hanover County

12:00 noon: Transform Suburban Spaces to Wildlife Oases – bringing native plants to life in your landscape, one bed at a time • Amy Long, UNCW

1:00pm: Keynote Speaker: Coastal Landscaping Design • Madalyn Baldwin, Assistant Research Professor, NC State University, Coastal Dynamics Design Lab

2:00pm: The Importance of Natives for Birds • Charley Winterbauer, NC Native Plant Society, SE Coastal Chapter

Joyce Huguelet will have a “blooming” selection of native plants for sale, in front of Wild Bird & Garden. Come to the festival to see what these nurturing hands have raised.

Shelton Herb Farm

Started in 1986, Shelton Herb Farm is located on a old family home-site in rural Brunswick County, North Carolina.

Specializing in growing a large variety of culinary herbs, they also grow seasonal vegetable plants, heirloom and native plants; butterfly and bee plants.

Cape Fear Garden Club: Gardening for Wildlife

Gardening for Wildlife committee of the CFGC will help the kids and "young at heart" make bird-feeders. In addition, there will be information on how to create a wildlife habitat.
