No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Nationwide Insurance App from you as an app user. We use Google AdMob to show advertisements — banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads — which is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app. Insurance content, favorites, and app preferences you use are stored locally on your device where applicable. Premium calculator inputs are processed on your device and are not stored or transmitted. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Nationwide Insurance App is built to help you explore insurance products, estimate premiums, read educational articles, save favorites, and access insurance guidance with confidence. We designed this app so you can use the home dashboard, insurance categories, premium calculator, learning center, favorites, and settings without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

• Your name

• Your phone number

• Your email address

• Your home or mailing address

• Your date of birth

• Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

• Photos, contacts, or camera data

• Precise GPS location

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To power your insurance browsing experience, Nationwide Insurance App stores the following locally on your device only (Room database and DataStore preferences):

• Favorite articles and insurance categories you save

• Recently viewed articles and content history

• Cached articles for offline reading of previously opened content

• App settings (such as dark/light theme, notification preferences, and last search query)

• Premium calculator inputs are used only for instant on-device estimates and are not saved as personal records

This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user.

4. Offline-First Design

Nationwide Insurance App is designed for offline-friendly use. Insurance product information, articles, tips, and educational content are available from local app data without requiring you to create an account. Previously viewed articles can be accessed from local cache. An internet connection is required to load advertisements through Google AdMob and to load article images from external image sources when you open certain content.

5. Premium Calculator

The in-app premium calculator provides instant insurance cost estimates for planning purposes only. All calculator inputs (insurance type, coverage level, age range, location type, and deductible) are processed locally on your device. We do not store calculator inputs on our servers or use them to build a personal profile about you.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside Nationwide Insurance App. AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, and it is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app.

Types of ads shown:

• Banner ads — displayed at the bottom of app screens above the navigation bar on main sections, and at the bottom of detail screens

• Interstitial ads — full-screen ads shown when you open an insurance category. After the ad is closed or skipped, the category detail screen opens

To serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process:

• Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)

• General device information (device model, OS version, language, screen size)

• Coarse, non-precise location derived from your IP address

• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and views)

• App activity related to ad delivery

This information is collected by Google and its partners, not directly by us. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and ad policies:

You can control personalized advertising on your device at any time:
Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
From there you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.

7. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob uses SDK-level identifiers and similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention, as described in the Advertising section above. We do not operate our own cross-app tracking or analytics SDK separate from AdMob.

8. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Internet access — required to load advertisements and article images

• Network state — required for reliable ad and content delivery

• Notifications — optional local reminders for insurance tips and updates

• Advertising ID (Android 13+) — used by Google AdMob when ads are enabled

We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, or precise location.

9. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your favorites, cached articles, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app. Ad-related data is handled by Google's secure ad infrastructure according to their policies.

10. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for general insurance education and planning use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Google AdMob may serve non-personalized ads in accordance with applicable laws and your device settings.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Nationwide Insurance App → Storage → Clear storage

For ad-related choices:

• Use Android Settings → Privacy → Ads to manage your advertising ID and personalization

• Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data and stops in-app ad delivery

12. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
