The seminar will be held at the Maison Française within the French Embassy in the US. Please use the following address:
4101 Reservoir Road NW
Washington, DC 20007
The Embassy is located in an area without close access to the Metro; however, there is a robust bus system (one way fare = $2) and line D6 stops directly outside the Embassy gates. We highly recommend carpooling, taking an Uber, or walking when possible.
Please note that if you choose to drive, parking inside the Embassy will only be possible if you contact Victoria Creux Laroche (at victoria.creux-laroche@frenchculture.org) with your license plate, and the model of your car. If we do not have this information by Thursday, October 19th, you won’t be permitted to enter the Embassy with your car.
Street parking is available around the Embassy, however there are limited spaces, and it is paid two-hours parking, so please keep this in mind.
To check in with our security office, please be sure you have a government-issued ID with you.
Please plan to arrive between 12 pm and 12:30 pm on Monday, October 23 to allow time for check-in.
Sandwiches will be available at 12:30 pm, and sessions begin at 2:00 pm.
The reception will be held at the Residence of France. Please use the following address:
2221 Kalorama Rd NW
Washington, DC 20008
You are welcome to stay anywhere you like in the DC area; however, we have partnered with two hotels nearby to offer you reduced rates. More information on rooms and rates can be found here:
The Normandy Hotel - Reservations - Room Availability (synxis.com),
The River Inn - Reservations - Room Availability (synxis.com)
**Both hotels are accessible via car and bus line D6**
Lunch will be provided on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Coffee/tea and snacks will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
**Please note that no food will be served at the Residence of France on Tuesday evening**
All sessions will be in English.
Please bring your laptops, tablets, and any other devices you would like to have with you as well as pens/paper.
The dress code is business casual for the reception at the Residence of the Ambassador. If you plan to modify your attire, you might consider planning accordingly as you won’t have time to go back to your hotel before the reception.
You will get a coupon so that you can login into the Embassy’s wifi. The coupon will be valid for three days.
No, you cannot bring a guest or +1 to the Embassy or the reception at the Residence of France on Tuesday night, unless you have already discussed this with Victoria Creux Laroche (at victoria.creux-laroche@frenchculture.org). Please note that all people coming to the Embassy or Residence without being added on the list won’t be allowed to enter.
