ABOUT
Environmental Science is a diverse field that offers extensive opportunities of interdisciplinary research for students and researchers from different science and engineering disciplines to work towards a sustainable and healthier future. There is a growing need to address pressing issues related to climate change, waste management, biodiversity loss, land degradation, and food security on a global scale. Furthermore, there has been a growing focus on sustainable development and the circular economy, aimed at reducing waste and pollution and promoting the efficient use of resources. Advances in technologies such as bioreactors, electric vehicles, and green chemistry have shown significant potential for reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices across various industries. Therefore, it is essential to encourage and motivate young minds to contribute to resolving these critical environmental challenges through the application of scientific knowledge in real-world situations.
The 2nd edition of One Day National Seminar is commencing on 10th of March under the banner of Tezpur University Students' Science Council (TUSSC), organized by Department of Environmental Science. The seminar will be comprised of invited lectures, selected oral presentations and poster sessions.

Word limit 150 words, double spaced, justified, Times New Roman, Font size 12
Abstract should include:
Title
Author(s) name and affiliation
Keywords (3-5)
Email address and phone number of participant(s)
Eight abstracts will be selected for oral presentation, rest will be selected for poster presentation.
Certificates will be awarded to all participants. Prizes will be given to the top two oral and poster presentations.

The department of Environmental Science was established in January 2004 with the objective of imparting education on regional and global environmental issues. The department offers two academic programs M.Sc. and Ph.D in Environmental Science.VISION: Our vision is to grow into an institution of national importance with international standing.MISSION: The core mission is to impart knowledge with quality teaching and research to answer fundamental questions before mankind in regard to environmental challenges with a special focus on contemporary national needs.
