Nathaniel Young's Logo Designs
Nathaniel designed this personal logo as part of a project while studying coding at Kutztown University. Tasked by his professor with creating multiple logo concepts, he ultimately selected this design for submission. It received the highest praise from both peers and instructors. The logo features a refined blend of blue and white, with the "Y" strategically positioned so that its edge appears to subtly disappear behind the square, adding depth and visual interest to the overall composition.
When Nathaniel’s brother-in-law launched his landscaping business in northeastern Ohio, he approached Nathaniel to assist with designing the company’s logo. Nathaniel developed several logo concepts and presented them for review. One design, closely resembling the one shown here, was ultimately selected and refined with minor adjustments to enhance its visual impact and distinctiveness.
The Rochester Wonders logo was a personal project Nathaniel designed during his free time for a fictional sports team he created. This design holds significant personal meaning, reflecting Nathaniel’s deep-rooted connection to the state of New York. Born in Buffalo, alongside his father and sister, Nathaniel has always felt a strong sense of identity tied to the region. The golden "R" symbolizes ambition and the pursuit of excellence, while the brighter highlights in the center represent enduring success for any team that adopts the logo.
The "Nathaniel Young for Congress" logo was created as an opportunity for Nathaniel to expand his creative range beyond video game character design and corporate branding. Venturing into political design, he aimed to craft a visual identity that conveyed both professionalism and impact. The combination of blue and black was chosen deliberately, blue symbolizing trust and stability, and black representing strength and authority, resulting in a bold, confident design that reflects the seriousness of a political campaign while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The inclusion of the torch was a purposeful choice, symbolizing American pride, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of progress and unity.
This default character was designed by Nathaniel as part of a senior-year game development project at Kutztown University. Inspired by one of his favorite childhood games, Tomb Raider, Nathaniel sought to create a strong, adventurous protagonist that paid homage to the genre without replicating the iconic Lara Croft. He incorporated unique design elements, such as braided side hair and a classic tank top, to evoke familiarity while introducing his own creative perspective. The character was carefully crafted not only to stand out as a lead figure but also to complement and draw attention within the game’s environmental design.
This character is not part of the Maze Runner game that Nathaniel contributed to, but rather from a personal project he is developing during his downtime. The decision to give the dragon a more human-like form was intentional, designed to convey deeper emotional expression and foster a stronger connection between the player and the character.
