I developed an interactive 3D product visualization and configuration tool in Unreal Engine that presents a shoe as an exploded assembly. The system allows users to isolate individual components, modify material and design attributes, and receive real-time cost feedback based on those changes. By linking geometry, materials, and manufacturing parameters to estimated production cost, the tool simulates early-stage product decisions and compresses the traditional design, estimate, and revise cycle into a single interactive workflow. This functions as a lightweight digital prototype and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) tool, enabling more informed decisions before physical prototyping while improving efficiency in product development.
