I am currently an Assistant Professor in ECE at the University at Albany, SUNY.

Our department has two tenure-track positions open! See details here.

I am seeking highly motivated graduate students and researchers to join my team. If you are interested, please contact me via email, and include the word 'prospective' in the subject line to make sure that I don't miss your message.

From September 2021 to July 2023 I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, under advisement of Prof. Subhonmesh Bose. Prior to joining UIUC,  I was a research assistant in the Stochastic Systems & Learning Laboratory (S2L2) at the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California, working with Prof. Rahul Jain. In summer 2021 I completed my Ph.D at USC. My thesis, Smarter Markets for a Smarter Grid: Pricing Randomness, Flexibility and Risk explores application of game theory, mechanism design, stochastic optimization and risk modeling to electricity markets featuring integration of renewable and distributed energy resources.

I obtained my M.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.A. in Applied Mathematics from USC in 2020, and my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from USC in 2008. From 2008 to 2015 I worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Audyssey Laboratories. Here is my detailed CV.

My research is centered on control, game theory, stochastic optimization and reinforcement learning. My current focuses include market and mechanism design for smart energy systems, non-stationary and multi-agent reinforcement learning and interpretable AI.
