Nathan Anthony is a 4th year Games & Simulations student at The Miami University. He is additionally pursuing minors in Computer Science and Japanese. Throughout his time in university, he has worked on several different video games and game projects, gaining experience in various parts of the game development process.
My journey with games started from a young age. It all began back when I wasn't old enough to be left home alone, and my grandma would take care of me after school. She herself was an avid gamer, and during the numerous hours I spent in her house during my youth, she passed her love for games down to me. Throughout middle school and high school, I spent countless hours engaging with my passion for games, and began to teach myself the basics on how to create them.
All the time I spent learning in my childhood led to me being accepted into Miami University's Games & Simulations program. During my time in the program, I have met countless inspiring and talented people. Working with them has offered me many opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of being involved in many different activities within my major. I was selected to be a part of the Emerging Technology Leaders program, which placed me in a cohort of my classmates to take accelerated courses. Starting my sophomore year, I became a tutor within my major, offering students the opportunity to meet with me to assist them in their coursework. And most importantly to me, I became Miami's Game Design Club's Unity Chair! This position has me leading the production of Game Design Club's games that are created in Unity, as well as offering guidance and tutorials to other club members wishing to learn the program.
