Today’s blog post is all about the best long lasting lip gloss and some of the finest clear lip gloss you can get your hands on in 2021. There are many lip glosses on the market right now, I will go over the best lip gloss for everyday use. You may be thinking that the best lip gloss for daily use would be lip balm, but I will be taking it one step further because the discussion of lip balm can be so boring. After all, it also so critical, so let’s dive into my topic of conversation now.
To me, lip gloss has come a long way, and it all started with your fundamental chapstick. When I was younger, I remember that this was as close to lip gloss as you would get, strawberry was my favored when I was a little girl.
Now that I am older and have more choices, lip balm has turned into a cosmetic and a primary million-dollar industry, because of my fondness for cosmetics, I have decided to post my favored lip glosses on the market. I like to share some of my best-kept tips on makeup advice, I think you will relish my opinion of the best lip gloss on the market in 2021.
Lip gloss is a paramount piece of makeup because it can quickly enhance your look, I would recommend adding lip gloss to your look if you want something more nonchalant. For example, you could wear it with a renewed application of BB cream to make your lips pop!
I also find that lip gloss can make you feel more confident and alluring, and a little goes a long way, just dab a small amount with the applicator to your favorite lipstick, and you have renewed your look!
I don’t remember who invented lip gloss, but all I can remember is that it was prevailing when I was in high school, I believe that MAC Cosmetics first created lip gloss known as lip glass, which was a clear high gloss and shine lip gloss.
Every girl I knew had it, leading to more and more makeup brands picking up this new formula of high-end lip balm.
Lip glass was also an costly lip gloss, and other brands picked up on that and created more affordable options, so now you can find affordable lip gloss at your local drugstore, Walmart, and online.
I can’t remember when I used MAC’s Lip Glass, but I don’t think I might ever go back because of all of the new lip gloss formulas that have entered the market, I also found it to be a bit too thick for my liking.
I received the Fenty diamond bomb lipgloss in the travel size kit with the diamond bomb highlighter. I adore this lip gloss, and it is very moisturizing and also contains shea butter, I believe that this is one of the reasons why my lips treasure this product so much.
The shade that I tested is the shad “FU$$Y,” which is a light mauve shade, and it applies more like a sheer gloss with a touch of soft pink.
I discussed a recent review on this lip gloss in a previous blog post, you can find it here.
The Fenty diamond bomb lipgloss is packaged on a rather large bottle-shaped in a hexagon width, I found it a bit too large and noticed that it was effortless to locate in my purse.
While I did like the packaging, for some reason, this product by fenty beauty only survived for about one month, usually my lip products can last up to 6 months. The length of the time that this lip gloss lasts is a con, and you will end up going through many bottles of this lip gloss and leading to spending more money than you initially intended to, therefore it can be an costly lip gloss .
If I were to rate this lip gloss, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars, and the main reason why there is one start missing is that it didn’t last longer than a month, and also, I found that my lips were still dry and chapped after using this. Nonetheless, I would re-purchase this lipgloss because it is super moisturizing, contains shea butter, and my lips adore it (no allergic reactions). It is a great lip gloss that has a high shine to add to a matte lip stain for a glossy/wet look. This product is also complimented on all skin tones and is cruelty free.
If you are in the market for this product, you can find it at Sephora here.
I received a sample of this lip gloss in my IPSY subscription box. IPSY is an amazing subscription company that I have signed up for this year, and I just wanted to mention that the products offered in the bag are outstanding, so if you are looking for a great subscription box for beauty products, you can sign up here.
Anyway, I received a new lip gloss from my IPSY subscription box from ITEM Beauty. The social media influencer Addison Raye owns it and her products are also cruelty free.
First of all, I would never think that beauty products made by an influencer would change my life, and it did just that! I no longer have dry, chapped lips, and have my lips feeling like butter ,and can attribute them to Item beauty’s lip quip (lip gloss).
I’m not sure what it is, to be honest, because I also received another lip mask from ISPY and have been using it in addition to the lip quip.
It has been a game-changer, and I value the smell, and it is a non sticky formula. The lip quip that I got as a sample is in the shade come thru and the line also has a broad shade range with four other options, and has a delightful fruity scent.
I find that lip quip is a moisturizing lip gloss that contains nourishing ingredients like jojoba oil, almond oil, camellia japonica seed oil, and shea butter.
Unfortunately, you cannot find any of ITEM beauty’s products in Canada, which is a bummer, so I chose a superb alternative: the LANCOME Juicy tubes, a gleaming lip gloss . Juicy tubes are another superior quality product, and the only main difference missing is the signature fruity smell that I adore in lip quip. If you’re looking for this fantastic product, you can find it here.
Last but not least on my list of favored lipglosses of the year is drugstore lip gloss, I discovered this lip gloss while makeup shopping at my local drug store. At the time, it had been a while since I searched for new makeup products at the drugstore, so it was very invigorating to see this drugstore lip gloss there.
The lip gloss that I am referring to is the Maybelline lifter gloss. In a recent blog post, I also discussed this gloss and raved about how much it resembled the Fenty Diamond Bomb Lipgloss.
Everything from the texture and shades was an exact match, in my opinion, another thing that I appreciate about this Maybelline gloss is a hyaluronic acid lip gloss and contains this hydrating ingredient. My skin treasures hyaluronic acid, and I am glad to find this ingredient in drugstore lip gloss.
Hopefully, they will most likely not discontinue the Maybelline lifter gloss, and I am also noticing that product availability is meager. Low availability can mean a good thing and that there is a high demand for this product, so (keeping my fingers crossed), we should see this product on the drugstore shelf for a while.
It’s hard to find the perfect lip gloss that is also not a sticky lip gloss. It is hard to find one with just enough color, but not too much? That feels comfortable and doesn’t make your lips dry out after a few hours of wear time? I found three that are my top favorites for different occasions above. First, we have the Fenty Diamond Bomb Lipgloss, packed with shea butter that hydrates and moisturizes lips. Next, we have ITEM beauty lip quip, which is also my personal top favored because it stopped my chapped and dry lips from cracking, and last, we have the Maybelline lifter gloss, which is comparable to the Fenty Diamond Bomb Lipgloss and contains one of my favored hydrating ingredients: hyaluronic acid. Which one will be your choice? Try them out yourself, and let me know!
