Natalie Gray (she/her) is a multi-genre violinist from the Pacific Northwest. Her work has been featured on radio, film, and local media, including interviews with the Northwest Folklife Festival and Silkroad Global Musicians Workshop in Hangzhou, China. She thrives in groups where members from different backgrounds use their instruments in conversation with each other.
As a teen, she traveled nationally with her great-grandfather’s violin to compete in classical symphony competitions with the Garfield High School Symphony Orchestra. After a time with University of Washington Symphony and Chamber Music, she became a versatile, ‘plug-and-play’ instrumentalist spanning alternative rock and world folk fusion genres.
Her goal is to add something clever, interesting, and beautiful to the soundscapes she becomes part of.
