My primary interests lie in experimental and formal semantics and pragmatics. I am also interested  in philosophy of language,  corpus linguistics, linguistic typology,  and cognitive science.

I defended my Ph.D. dissertation in Linguistics entitled "Syntax of exclamatives" at the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2012. From 2012 to 2024 I worked as a lecturer and an associate professor at the School of Linguistics of the HSE University (the head of the school is Prof. Dr. Ekaterina V. Rakhilina). I taught courses primarily dealing with introduction to linguistics, formal linguistics, and pragmatics. Together with colleagues of mine, I developed corpus of Russian student texts, worked on microvariations in modern Russian and did corpus research on exclamatives and metalinguistic comparatives. From 2018 to 2023 I was also affiliated as a senior research fellow of the International laboratory for logic, linguistics, and formal philosophy of the HSE University (the head of the laboratory is Prof. Dr. Elena G. Dragalina-Chernaya). The work at the laboratory enabled me to continue doing research in experimental pragmatics which I used to work on in Nijmegen with Prof. Dr. Bart Geurts in 2010-2011. Together with students of mine, I conducted experimental studies on over-specification of small cardinalities in referential communication, Conditional Perfection and presupposition diversity. I was a principal organizer of the Semantics and Pragmatics Workshops (2016, 2018, 2020, 2021) held at the HSE University personally before Covid time and virtually during Covid time. Together with colleagues of mine Vitaly Dolgorukov and Daria Popova, I co-authored a textbook on pragmatics with an afterword by Prof. Emerita Dr. Barbara Partee. I defended my D.Sc. dissertation in Linguistics entitled "Experimental and Corpus Studies in Linguistic Pragmatics: Informativity, Illocutionary Sentence Types, and Metalinguistic Comparison" at the HSE University in 2024. Since September 2023 my family and I have been staying in Yerevan, Armenia.
