2023 – 2025: Research program on “Climate Change, Water and Population Well-being in Senegal” in collaboration with J. He for GREDI – Université de Sherbrooke (Québec). Co-funded by the CentrEAU seed fund (Québec). The program aims to identify and measure the various dimensions of well-being (economic growth, employment, vulnerability, inequality, poverty, education, health, etc.) of the Senegalese population; to analyse and estimate the effects of variability in water access due to climate change, urbanization, agricultural practices, industrial and mining activities, and competing uses on these dimensions; to identify the most critical water-use conflicts and propose public policy solutions for securing and improving water access; and to monitor and evaluate the potential improvements in well-being resulting from the implementation of the proposed policies. Partner institutions include Cheikh Anta Diop University and Alioune Diop University of Bambey (Senegal), CIRAD, among others. A prospective study is also being conducted on the extension of the project to Togo and Morocco.
2017 – 2018: Co-responsible (with L. Mathieu) for the construction of the “MAP-NC” macro-econometric model for New Caledonia (amendment to the “The sustainability of the development trajectory of New Caledonia” research programme, 2014-2017).
2014 – 2016: IAC, CEMOTEV , CIRAD / research program on "The sustainability of the New Caledonia's development trajectory". This research program intends to clarify the implications of major public policy options for the New Caledonia's economic, environmental, social and cultural development.
