At the present time, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Probability and Statistics at CIMAT under the supervision of Dr. Juan Carlos Pardo (CIMAT) and Dr. Marcel Ortgiese (University of Bath).

I studied B.Sc and M. Sc in Mathematics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Sede Medellín). The title of my M.Sc thesis is: Procesos de Advección-Difusión en Grafos y su comportamiento asintótico (Advection-diffusion processes in graphs and their asymptotic behavior) which I did under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Ramirez.

For others details on my academic background and more activities, see my Curriculum Vitae.

At present, I am working on my PhD thesis in branching processes in random environment and contact processes in random graphs.

Research Interests:

My research interests lie primarily in probability theory and stochastic processes as well as their applications to biology and epidemiology. Specifically, I am interested in: branching processes, Lévy processes, random environment, random graphs, interactive particle systems, Markov processes, mathematical biology, statistics, simulation and modeling of stochastic processes.
