I am Nasir Rakib, a Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Cesar Torres in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. My research interests lie in smart textiles, IoT, digital fabrication, sustainability, etc. I believe the next decade will be the period of adopting and implementing sustainable and smart textile-making. Since starting my Ph.D., I started addressing the challenges in smart textile processing and making the textile manufacturing concept more interactive and accessible for people who have an interest in textiles.  However, I am also open to collaboratively working with an innovative interdisciplinary research team where I can contribute to, explore, and be involved with creative makers.
