Welcome to the SEPAC of the Nashoba Regional School District!
What is SEPAC?
The Nashoba Special Education Parent Advisory Council (Nashoba SEPAC) is a volunteer organization comprised of parents and guardians of students with disabilities and other individuals interested in special education who reside in the towns of Bolton, Lancaster or Stow, Massachusetts. We come together to share the experience we need to become empowered participants in our children’s education and ensure our families’ priorities stay on the school district’s agenda.
Any interested individuals, whether or not their children have special needs, are welcome to join the SEPAC and participate in any of the activities and events sponsored by our organization.
Every public school district in Massachusetts is required b law to establish a SEPAC. Massachusetts state law assigns both an advisory and participatory function to SEPACs. Under the law, the duties of the SEPAC are defined –
“advising the district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities; meeting regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the school district’s special education programs.” 603 CMR 28:07(4)

Special Education Resources
Thanks to a generous donation from a parent (and SEPAC member), the district now has a lending library of Socials Skills resource materials that anyone in the NRSD community may borrow. These books and games can be checked out directly from the Florence Sawyer School library or requested for checkout at any of the district school libraries.
