Holds the mechanism in place and is attached to the end of the hatch. The mechanism holds the trash canister and other components that assist in the trash’s ejection. Poles provide assistance and stability to the orange baseplate, so it doesn't tilt. They also contain springs that would launch the orange baseplate.

Springs are attached to the exterior poles and are pushed down by the baseplate. When the desired force output is know the pole will have a mechanism that holds the base plate in place until ready to launched.
