The Out of this Universe team consists of two elementary school girls who are passionate about not just space travel, but also STEM fields in general.
The team is formed at the MagiKid Robotic Lab Irvine site, trying to learn more about space travel and brainstorming ideas for how genome editing can help the human race getting ready for the glorious exploration of the brutal universe.
If there’s one sentence for Tian Jin’s mantra, it would be “often the smallest steps, not the largest strides, that bring about the greatest change” In her free time, Tian Jin dedicated herself to a variety of activities. Tian Jin’s passion for computer science and robotics started at a very young age. Through her tremendous hard work, she won the ignite computer programming competition, as well as placing second and receiving the Judges Award in VEX IQ Pitching in Robotics competition. Beyond academics, Tian Jin works incredibly hard to develop her musical talents. A stellar pianist, Tian Jin is already a first class honors recipient for RCM piano level 5. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and playing sports. She is the most competitive on the golf course, the tennis court, and the swimming tourneys.
Jasmine is currently a 2nd grade student at Renascence School International Orange County. She loves reading and solving math problems, and is learning English, Chinese and Spanish at school. She also loves going swimming and playing tennis with her dad when she is free. Her favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry, and cheese pizza is her favorite!
