Power
Electrical power is provided by 800ah @ 24 volts of LiFePO4 lithium batteries that are charged by seven Sunpower semi-flex 100w (700w total) solar panels. Power inversion is through an Outback 3,000 watt pure sine wave inverter/charger. Lighting is 12 volts throughout.
The batteries are protected by a 3rd Generation 123electric Battery Management system.
Two independent Victron DC to DC chargers charge the engine start battery and the separate bowthruster batteries.
Water
Water is stored in five 2mm thick stainless steel tanks that are positioned to best effect for ballast. Five tanks in total, giving 220 gallons (1,000 litres) available for domestic use. The water pump is a DAB Esybox Mini which provides almost silent and consistent water pressure throughout the boat. This unit maintains pressure should you use a second or third tap. No drop in pressure. The pressure can be set to best suit your needs.
Hot Water
Hot water and central heating is provided by a diesel-fired Kabola Compact 7 boiler coupled to a 60 litre calorifier with a high recovery coil. This provides an efficient means of quickly heating water without sacrificing space. The design provides a near-instant heating system with water being ready for use within 15 minutes from a cold tank and once heated, the calorifier will keep the water hot for 24-hours. This means that you do not need the system to be constantly on.
The complete system is installed under-floor in the back cabin so does not impinge on the interior aesthetics and is so quiet that you won’t even know that it is running.
The Kabola is controlled through a Nest wifi thermostat.
Heating
A Relfleks 2000KTV diesel fired marine heater provides a stated 1.5kw of heat to the Saloon and Galley. In addition, two wall-mounted radiators in the saloon ensure toasty warmth on the worst winter's day. Additional radiators are mounted in the bathroom and the engine room. with a fan-forced heater in the back cabin. The radiators are heated through the Kabola boiler.
