"Narratives of African Stories Through Art" is an annual art exhibition dedicated to illuminating the rich tapestry of African heritage and contemporary life through compelling visual storytelling. Now in its second edition, the exhibition, curated by Elisa Niyogisubizo, Founder & Gallery Director of Sundays Art Hub, will be held at Sundays Art Hub on September 20, 2024. This year’s showcase features the exceptional works of 14 artists from Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, presenting a diverse range of perspectives through painting and photography.
"Narratives of African Stories," stands out due to its focus on celebrating the multifaceted narratives of African heritage, traditions, and contemporary experiences through various artistic mediums. What makes it unique is the diverse representation of 14 East African artists from Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, each bringing their unique perspectives and voices to the exhibition. Additionally, our project emphasizes the exploration of tradition and modernity, bridging past and present narratives to create an immersive and thought-provoking experience for viewers. Through interactive elements and artist talks, we aim to foster dialogue, connection, and reflection on the shared humanity that unites us all.
