There are a few things that we learned in the two seasons we've been doing FLL challenges that might be helpful for other teams that are also starting out.
1) Wall square. Use the walls of the table to align the robot at a perfect 90 degree angle.
2) Gyro turns. Use gyro turns to make more precise turns in comparison to the regular turn angle.
3) Acceleration. Our robot would deaccelerate when approaching a challenge. It was helpful to try to make the deacceleration smooth.
4) Aligners. Use prongs to square against the challenge so the we could align perfectly.
5) Use multiple design robots. We found out the using multiple bots when designing and coding, we could test things on different robots to see how the operated differently.
