RGJ (Royal Golden Jubilee PhD.)

RGJ Scholarship or The Royal Golden Jubilee Scholarship is offered to those Ph.D. students in Thai Universities who desire to conduct research, especially research studies on economy, society, and academic field. The scholarship is categorized into 3 types as following:

1. RGJ-Ph.D. scholarship aims to produce highly qualified Ph.D. graduates through the high standards of RGJ management. The funding is supported by the Thailand Research Fund which covers the tuition fees, research fees, and salary of the RGJ-Ph.D. student and funding for overseas travels of the Thai advisor, RGJ-Ph.D. student, and foreign collaborator.

2. Scholarships for Ph.D. professional development for governmental institutions in Thailand aims to develop highly qualified researchers and increase the research competitiveness for the country. This programme allows the institutions to identify their research problems, specifically related to their current projects.

3. RGJ –ASEAN is offered to students from ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Brunei) can also apply for a full RGJ scholarship to pursue full-time doctoral studies in Thailand.


Qualifications : Students who desire to apply for the scholarship are required to graduate in bachelor's or master's degrees, or be in the last semester.


Restitution of Scholarship : No restitution in case that students graduate; however, if a student cannot graduate, the restitution will be considered.


Criteria : School record in bachelor's degree (and master's degree), work experience, research experience and studies (if any), and English Proficiency Test result (TOEFL, IELTS, CU-TEP, or TU-GET)
