I am Naresh Kumar Ravichandran, and it is my pleasure to present myself as a research-driven professional specializing in Bio-Imaging Techniques. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, I have dedicated my career to exploring the intricacies of Biophotonic research for Biomedical Diagnostics.
Currently, as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) with academic and research focused on designing, developing, and optimizing Multimode, Multiscale Advanced Optical Metrology and Imaging platforms like Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Multiphoton Microscopy (MPM), and Confocal Fluorescence Microscopy (FM) for Medical and Biomedical research, as well as Industrial Non-destructive Evaluation of Samples.
During my postdoctoral research at the esteemed Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI), my focus was in the development and optimization of cutting-edge Multimodal Imaging platforms by seamless integration of Optical Coherence Tomography, Multiphoton Microscopy, and Fluorescence Microscopy, for a rapid assessemnt and of large-volume biomedical samples like 3D Biochips for tumor drug response and characterization.
My proficiency in this field extends beyond the realm of imaging systems. I possess a comprehensive skill set encompassing Biomedical Optics, Optical Design, Data Mining, and Algorithm Development. These competencies enable me to not only construct advanced imaging platforms but also meticulously analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
Driven by an unwavering passion for expanding the boundaries of scientific knowledge, my aim is to make tangible contributions to the research community. By enhancing imaging capabilities, I firmly believe that we can unlock novel perspectives and gain profound insights across various scientific disciplines.
