Dr. Naoya Takahashi is an assistant professor at Faculty of Science, Niigata University. He has a strong background in the air-sea interaction of clouds, atmospheric circulation, and ocean. He earned D.Sc. in Geophysics from Tohoku University in 2020, under the guidance of Dr. Tadahiro Hayasaka. His dissertation focused on the air-sea interaction process of oceanic low-level clouds and sea surface temperature in the summertime North Pacific. Also, at the International Pacific Research Center (IPRC) in University of Hawaii, Naoya was working on the ocean mixed layer dynamics and its role in the formation of sea surface temperature anomaly, as a postdoctral researcher collaborated with Dr. Kelvin Richards, Dr. Niklas Schneider, and many colleagues from IPRC and Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). Naoya's work has been recognized with numerous awards and fellowships, including "Yamamoto Award from the Meteorological Society of Japan in 2021" and "Research Fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2018". My CV is here.
