My name is Naomi Alemayehu and I am a senior currently attending Evanston Township Highschool. For the ETHS publication The Evanstonian, I am the current Digital Executive Editor. Along with The Evanstonian, I am the Editor in Chief of The ETHS Key (yearbook). As the Digital Executive Editor of The Evanstonian, the school newspaper, I oversee the digital presence of the publication which involves working to produce engaging content that reflects our school and it's community. My role involves everything from podcast editing to website/social media management, ensuring that we maintain a balanced and diverse online presence. As Editor-in-Chief of The Key, our school's yearbook, I must influence the creative direction of the book along with leading a team of editors and staffers who play the role of photographers, designers, and writers. Throughout my time on The Key I have grown with my journalistic writing, graphic design and photography skills. Through both of these creative spaces, I am able to collaborate with others and thrive a an artists in many different mediums. As I continue to lead and collaborate within these spaces, I’m inspired by the people I work with and the connections we build, all while making an impact by giving light to underrepresented parts of our community.
