Human Robot Interaction (HRI) is the robotic field studying the interactions between robots and humans. In this case, interaction is intended as the process of working together towards a common goal. Nowadays, this has become more important since robots are not only passive workers but they collaborate and interact with expert and inexperienced users. For such purposes, robots need to behave following social norms and to understand the needs of the human with whom they interact. To fulfillll these objectives, the robots have to rely on their internal sensors (e.g cameras, microphones, lasers, etc.).
This project is based on the Human Robot Interaction through speech. It has two main goals:
The second objective is achieved exploiting the automatic speech recognition offered by Google.
The project is created with two different applications which collaborates with each other:
1. First, an android app which, among other functionalities, is able to send voice commands to a Choreographe project;
2. Second, a Coreographe plan which will send the received message to the NAO robot.
