We synthesise nanoparticles through some of the chemical method. Nanoparticles are varied from metallic system to semiconductor nanoparticles. Apart from this we do optical properties of carbon based nanosystems also.
Our way of invsetigation is to study the size and shape dependent optical properties of nanomaterials and doping induced bandgap variation in semiconductors.
Experimental wise we do X-ray diffraction, optical absorption and photoluminescence studie we do.
Currently, we are preparing doped and un- doped ZnO, Co3O4, MgO, CuO nanoparticles.
Glasses and Polymers are one of the fascinating Laser materials because of their compositional and dopant dependent properties. Rare earth ions incorporation in glasses and Polymers will make these materials are suitable for lasing action. Compositional dependent absorption and emission properties of RE ions are interesting.
