Electron Microscope Workshop
~ An Ultrafast & Quantum Platform ~
History of science seems to prove that many breakthrough experiments required custom-made instruments. This small and focused Workshop brings together experts in electron microscopy, who design and build some aspect of the microscope, whether it is hardware or software.Â
NanoMi, the open-source transmission electron microscope originated in Canada, is emerging as a common platform for those builders. This Workshop brings together people that make things to discuss their custom-built instruments for advanced research, such as ultrafast EM and quantum EM. Use of NanoMi or other home-made instrument for teaching purposes, and discussions on the open source movement in general are also under the scope of the Workshop.
