Febrero 2022-Nanopartículas magnéticas biocompatibles recubiertas de oro para aplicaciones biomédicas
The researchers Guillermo Iglesias Salto (Department of Applied Physics at the University of Granada) and Fernando Moreno Navarro and María del Carmen Rubio Gámez (LabIC) have achieved the application of magnetic materials for intelligent asphalts that modify their properties with external magnetic fields.
It is possible to codify asphalt materials using metallic particles (preferably with a high iron content), and that the code established in this way is sufficiently sensitive to be read from routine sensors and provide information to the vehicles. This would allow the road to indicate to the electric scooters when it is necessary to reduce the speed, for example, or to turn off directly its engine in case of danger.
