🎓 We are now accepting applications for a Research Grant (RG) at the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM), University of Aveiro, under the project “NANOCEAN – Nano Optical Sensors for Rapid Detection of Marine Toxins”.

The selected candidate will contribute to the development of innovative nano-optical sensing strategies for the rapid detection of marine toxins, within a multidisciplinary environment involving Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biological Sciences.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields.

🎓 We are now hiring a First Level Researcher for research activities in the scientific areas of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related areas.

The main goal is to work on the development of sensing strategies for the detection of okadaic acid, the development of optical nanosensors for the detection of toxins causing paralytic shellfish poisoning, and the development of strategies for the immobilization of optical nanosensors based on hydrogels and cryogels.

🗓️ Start date: 1 November 2025 (expected)

📍 Location: Aveiro, Centre of Environment and Marine Studies

💶 Funding: €2351,53/month
