Dr Kirstie Ryan

Kirstie started her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Suelen Barg and Prof. Brian Derby at the University of Manchester in 2015 and completed it in January 2020. She was previously awarded a BEng in Design with Materials Engineering from Loughborough University (2015). Kirstie’s research involved designing printable 2D materials-based composite inks for the additive manufacturing technique stereolithography. Her PhD was funded by the Doctoral Training Alliance (EPSRC). Kirstie is now working as a postdoctoral research associate at Manchester Metropolitan University. She specialises in 3D printing conductive polymer composites for electrochemical applications.
