We are interested in 3rd generation biomaterials focusing on biodegradable implants to stimulate bone growth and regeneration. Our primary focus is developing a 3D-printed smart, functional bone scaffold by incorporating novel filler materials. In this topic, we already establish a strong connection with other researchers from top universities such as Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the University of Manchester.
Our group works on developing photocatalyst material including modified TiO2 and carbon nitride photocatalyst to obtain high photocatalytic activity by various strategies. Moreover, our photocatalyst mainly used for pollutant remediation in wastewater treatment which can be expanded further in applications such as photocatalytic water splitting and CO2 photoreduction reaction.
Our group works on the development of solar cell materials, mainly in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), to obtain material with high solar light absorption ability and fast electron mobility. Additionally, we try to utilize waste from the steelmaking industry as our main ingredient for fabricating solar cell device to contribute to waste reduction while producing a value-added material in return.
