Hello and welcome to-
Nanna's Touch Community Connections Lithgow Inc.
We invite everyone to attend our supports and services - held at our venue - 5 Albert St Lithgow
Nanna’s Touch was created in 2013 as a support group for disability assistance and has now become a compassionate Support Hub of kindness and hope.
We became an Incorporation - December 2022, and a Charity - Feb 2025.
We have an amazing team of volunteers helping with our vision, supporting anyone within our community needing assistance in either a one-on-one, or group settings.

2025 Xmas Gift and Xmas Hamper Projects
Special programs supporting local families in need.
we proudly provided 216 Xmas Food hampers,
donations helped to purchase the food hamper supplies, these were received from
Hartley District Progress Association,
Findex Finance company,
Ventia and Teneo companies,
Ivan Grose, and other personal donations,
with W. Dick & Co. removalist providing 150 boxes,
and Lithgow Aldi providing an additional 70 bags.
in addition, over 167 children received Xmas Gift packs

our Back-to-School project is now under way,
to be distributed to our 6 local schools at the end of January
Funding from Ivan Grose - Ivan's Supports going towards suppling 40 packs

Our aim - to aid in community connection, mental health wellbeing, minimising loneliness & isolation, and food insecurity.
By providing our time, skills, experiences, and friendships to make life a little easier for anyone doing it tough.
Being able to share our own personal life experiences in these areas has made the connections much more comforting.
Our group programs, and supports run 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday) at our venue - 5 Albert St Lithgow. NSW.
Nanna's Touch Community Connections is a local charity supporting Lithgow LGA with Food Insecurity, Disability, Mental Health, and Social Connection support and assistance.
We have provided this survey, asking you to let us know what you and your family need, so we can better support you, and to help connect you with other services you may need.

provides individual planning, specific outcomes, and connections to services and supports, that best suit our client’s needs. NDIS support. -
While many struggle to access local services, we can still provide a means of support.
Wellbeing Social Connections
held every Thursday 10am to 2pm
Providing social connections and support programs through assorted activities, art sessions, and games, outings, guest speakers from different areas of the community to share their service information, and more, everyone welcome

Nanna's Touch made the bold move into the Food Insecurity sector in mid 2023.
Seeing it as being a great need to many local families and individuals struggling to make ends meet.
Our focus being a connection point to support our community’s most vulnerable, while also focusing on the mental health wellbeing and social aspects, we can help assist in alleviating some stressors for our community.
We are very lucky to partner with a few different services and organisations to assist in the outcomes for our soup kitchen and hampers.

Aldi - Sustainability, Coles - Second Bite, Woolworths - Food Diversion,
Winmalee Neighbourhood Centre.
supporting Nanna's Touch through outreach programs, food assistance, and more.
Nanna's Community Kitchen
available each Wednesday
$5 for a 2-course meal
we provide around 100 x 2-course meals per week
with the option of pickup @ 3.30pm,
sit-down @5pm, or delivery,
providing social inclusion and supports.
Dave's Healthy Hampers
available every Friday at 12pm
$5 per hamper
providing over 60 hampers per week, for families and individuals needing support.
weekly hampers include fresh fruit/veges, breads/ pastries, as well as meat products, and non-perishables.
we also have available other hampers - such as - hygiene packs, cleaning packs, food staples, etc.
Additional Programs include -
Art Group on Saturday and Wet Media Art
held at Lithgow Library - Focusing on wellbeing through art.
we also run art/craft session during our Thursday Wellbeing Social Connections sessions

As full-time carer for my autistic grandchild, I was very aware of the various issues and struggles constantly faced while working to transition our children/teens/adults through each life stage.With that understanding, it became my driving force to promote the benefits gained when we target their 'abilities', rather than always focusing on their disabilities.
By embracing the benefits of diversity within our community, we can all work together building connections for supports and services required to help our important members progress through each life-level and milestone to achieve their personal goals.
I established 'Nanna's Touch' in 2013, as a community-based support network to provide a personal and social outlet for locals, and their families, with a disability, mental health concerns, disadvantaged, to help connect with all sectors of our community.Based on helping to close the gap on segregation, contributing to inclusion & acceptance, while focusing on sharing knowledge, teaching life skills, creative arts, socialising, confidence building, and access to a support network when needed.
